Two Sisters - Two Miami Weddings in Two Months
August 18th, 2009 by admin
I must say that being part of my family is never dull. There are three girls and I am the oldest. I was married and settled when my two sisters were still in college. For a few years it seemed that we were constantly attending one graduation or event for them, so we breathed a sigh of relief when they settled down to their careers. Within six months both of them announced their engagement and we had to put together two Miami Weddings in two months. My parents did not even try to arrange them alone. We got together and hired a firm who arranged beautiful ceremonies for each occasion, and they went off without a hitch.

Swimming Pool, Guinness, Free Online Music - Ahhh
August 11th, 2009 by admin
It’s another day in paradise. I’ve just been floating around in the pool listening to tunes. I figured out how to pipe my free online music out here, so I can listen to my favorite 365 station and just soak up the sun and Guinness.
A couple more weeks and it’s back to the grindstone, so I’d better enjoy it while I can. I actually like not having anybody here to bother me too. I thought when the folks left on vacation that it might get a little lonely, but it’s pretty nice so far.
Not that I’d mind it if Candy dropped by for a swim, but whatever. I rolls alone just fine.

5 Years of Podcasts
August 2nd, 2009 by admin
I just realized something really weird. I’ve been listening to podcasts for almost five years now. It still seems like one of the fresher technologies out there, and a lot of people still don’t seem to know what podcasting is, yet it’s been around for half a decade.
The first show I listened to was Five Hundy By Midnight, and it’s still one I listen to every week. Amazing to me the energy that’s gone into that show for all of this time now. It’s been nice to live vicariously through Tim and Michele. I miss Las Vegas.
Five years gone. Here’s to another 50!
